exceltomarkdown.com is a small, focused utility: paste or upload spreadsheet data and get a clean Markdown table back. That's the whole product.

Why it exists

Turning an Excel range or a CSV export into a Markdown table is a repetitive chore — counting pipes, adding separator rows, escaping special characters. This tool does all of that the moment you paste.

Privacy

All conversion runs in your browser. Your data is never sent to a server, so it's safe for internal or sensitive spreadsheets.

How it works

The converter detects the delimiter (tab, comma, semicolon, or pipe), splits your input into rows and columns, pads short rows, escapes pipes, and emits a GitHub Flavored Markdown table. XLSX files are parsed in the browser with no upload.
